Day 1-3

The prayers began at 6.30am with lamas and participants taking Sojong Vows.

Day 3: Karmapa 900 event 
The Malaysia Karmapa 900 event was held on the 8th May, the third day of Monlam. Public audience received blessings from the Dusum Khyenpa statue, accompanied by Tulku Pasang Rinpoche.

There was also a public display of 10 holy objects; Mother Black Pill by Khakhyab Dorje, the Fifteen Karmapa, Bone of Marpa Lotsawa, Flesh of Chokyi Jungne, the Eighth Tai Situpa, Bone of Chodrak Gyatso, the Seventh Karmapa, Relic of Buddha Shakyamuni from Tsurphu Monastery, Skull of Deshek Phakmo Drupa Dorje Gyalpo, Robes of Dusum Khyenpa, the First Karmapa, Gampopa Hat, Bone of Khenchen Tashi Ozer, and Ancient Text (Sanskrit) on Banana Leaf.

 As usual, there is lamp offering (Marme Monlam) at the end of the 3-day chanting.

Last but not least, Lama Chodrak, the international monlam organizer said that the Malaysia Monlam was very successful and thanked all the volunteers and participants for helping to make this event possible.

The 4th Malaysia Kagyu Monlam

Tulku Pasang Rinpoche and some 50 other monks from India, Nepal, and Bhutan gathered at Karma Drubgyu Choling Kluang for the three-day ceremony to chant a series of prayer for world peace compiled from classic Tibetan Buddhist texts.

The 4th Malaysia Monlam Aspiration Prayer for World Peace 2011

Kagyu Monlam is an auspicious event to pray for the spread of Buddhism, world peace and the well beings of all sentient beings. The International Kagyu Monlam is held annually at the sacred site of Bodhgaya, India, at the grand stupa under the Mahabodhi tree, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.

It is His Holiness Karmapa's wish that Kagyu Monlam shall be held in many countries to benefit more people. It is our sincere hope that more people will join in this prayer.
